Over the past 26 years, I have testified or consulted in over 500 cases in various District, Circuit and Federal Courts in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Missouri and Washington. I am available to aid you in your DUI/DWI cases.
Presently, I am the Chairman of the Electronics Department at ITT Technical Institute (ITT) in Little Rock. Before joining ITT, I was a faculty member/professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) for 23 years. I was the Chairman of the Applied Science Department my last 9 years at UALR.
My doctoral research in physical chemistry (PChem) at the University Of Michigan was in the area of spectroscopy. Spectroscopy is the “heart and soul” of the breath testing machines used by law enforcement.
My expertise is in the operation and performance of the various breath testing machines. I have been qualified to discuss Widmark calculations, the effects of mouth alcohol, retrograde extrapolation, absorption and elimination of alcohol, as well as, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and its consequences.
Additionally, I am certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) instructors for the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) used by law enforcement. I have testified regarding the proper administration of those tests.
